Why choose to sponsor nature for your business?

Today, we are losing nature at unprecedented rates. Nature is the variety of life on Earth – animals, plants, fungi, that we rely on for air, food, water, a stable climate. The UK only has half of its natural biodiversity left, placing it in the bottom 10% of all countries globally.

Mill of Plunton-The Future Forest Company

Restore wetland

We restore wetlands, degraded peatland and create ponds. Wetlands naturally absorb and store vast amounts of carbon and provide a habitat for a large number of species and rare plants. We are conducting large scale peatland restoration, creating new ponds across several of our sites, creating wildlife-rich havens.

Great Crested Newt-The Future Forest Company

Protect endangered species

Our sites provide a vital food source, a safe place for nesting, breeding, hunting and shelter for wildlife. We are managing woodland habitats for red squirrels, as well as native wood edges for Black grouse, restoring habitats for farmland birds like Lapwing, and Curlew. Our Wetland restoration provides a safe habitat for the Great Crested Newt to thrive.

Restore wildflower meadows

Wildflower meadows are a lifeline for vital pollinator insects, like bees. We have lost 97% of our wildflower meadows since the 1930s in the UK. We aim to create and restore wildflower meadows using only native wildflower seeds, without using peat. At Dumyat we are protecting the rare Sticky catchfly flower.
